Came here with my friend, who is an Altadena resident, and they told me this place is well-known among the locals. I couldn't believe how extensive the menu was. Besides burgers, they offer cheesesteaks, Chinese food, Mexican food, and even Thai curry! I was amazed. The restaurant is Asian-owned, which gave me confidence in trying something from their Chinese food menu. However, I ended up sticking with a traditional burger combo, even though I was really tempted to try the Thai curry. I saw someone order it, but they only had the vegan version available because they had run out of chicken. I'll save the Thai curry for my next visit when the chicken version is available. The burger was freshly made and came with avocado. It was high quality and very delicious. The fries were decent as well. I also want to mention that the restroom was exceptionally clean. You can often tell a lot about a restaurant's hygiene standards by the condition of its restroom. Just note that the restroom entrance is located outside rather than inside the restaurant. If you're in the Altadena area, please consider supporting this local business. You won't be disappointed by the food.

Loved every part of our meal at Fair Oaks. We got the tuna melt (my personal favorite), the Vargas burger (close second), cheese burger chili fries and egg rolls. The only thing better than the food is the amazing staff and owners. I can’t wait to come back and try the fish tacos. Also their sauces are so good. I especially love the thousand island, ranch and avocado salsa.
Highly recommend. The chili cheese burger and fries were delicious. The burger itself was juicy & flavorful. The fries weren't too salty & just right. The regular cheeseburger came with jalapeños, bacon, and avocado which is rare but perfect. The zucchini fries are round and not mushy like other ones. Batter on the zucchini fries were nice and crunchy. The pesto chicken sandwich was tender and not chewy. Just the right amount of grilled onions & bell peppers on it. Staff are so nice & friendly. 9.5 out of 10 overall. Great job guys.
Fair Oaks Burger is a solid neighborhood burger spot, but it didn't really do anything that stood out. The menu has a lot of variety, which is nice if your group all wants something different, but the food itself was just okay. The burger was decent, the fries were fine, and portions were fair, but nothing left me thinking I needed to come back immediately. The biggest strength is that it has an old-school local diner feel and clearly has a loyal following in the community. If you're expecting a simple, no-frills burger joint, it delivers on that. If you're expecting one of the best burgers in Southern California, you may leave a little underwhelmed. Overall, it's a perfectly acceptable place to grab a meal when you're in the area, but for me it lands squarely in the "good, not memorable" category. I'd eat there again, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it.
We brought 21 people in who are doing service work to help with the reconstruction in Altadena. Our orders were correct, with a name for each order so they were passed out efficiently, and delicious! We may have put a strain on other customers during the lunch rush, and we thank you for being so patient with our huge order. A wide variety of menu options. I wish I could come back to this spot on my own. This place is amazing!
