Jeff was great! I went tonight around 10 pm. There was only 1 line to pay no self check out, 10 people waiting! He opened a 2nd line and started scanning rapidly. He did a great job at packing my items and wished me a good Wednesday. Great job, Jeff!
Went to Vons due to my bank U.S. Bank being inside Vons. In all times I have shopped there, no issues except one time when they had something on sale that was on the top shelf and pushed to the back of it so I was unable to reach it. I was not able to find anyone on the floor to assist me so used my cell to call the store. The party answered after quite a few rings then paged someone to the aisle I was standing in but after 20 minutes waiting in rhe aisle, no one showed so I left. I still give a 5 star review because that situation was a one off. I've never had another negative interaction while shopping there.
The staff here are rude. I was treated very curtly by the woman patrolling the self checkout area —first of all they guard the bags here like it’s some kind of treasure or something. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth like is this some kind of a dangerous place or something and no other place really does it like they do —amazing —I was with my baby in the cart and she had the bags way over on the other side and I asked for one and she didn’t volunteer to give me one. I had to walk all the way over and leave my baby unguarded and my stuff and get the bags from her. Very tacky. Then I asked her for help to use a gift card for Vons and she was very curt and sarcastic and wouldn’t give me real help. Terrible service. I hope you improve, but for the meantime, there are many other stores that are better than Vons in general and this Vons in particular —prices aren’t great either. There are better places. By the way this was not the first time I had sub par service here. Badly managed, badly run. They do however have a good supply and variety of different grocery items —just rude staff. Also side note they are only giving paper bags without handles — these are so difficult to manage especially when holding a child with the other arm.
This Vons is one of the best grocery stores around. The prices seem fair and the service that I've received has always been friendly. If I have a hard time finding an item, I've been able to find a staff member to help me find it. They have a wide selection of choices on most of their products. I enjoy walking through all the fresh fruits and vegetables that are on display. If you want organic they have it! I like their large fresh deli section which includes a sushi bar. The aromas from the deli will definitely make you hungry! They have a large selection of fresh made salads and soups of every combination imaginable …very convenient. They have a great wine, beer, and liquor area. Most aisles are wide enough for two carts With the great selection of regular grocery items, there is a butcher available, as well as a fresh seafood area. The flower shop has fresh cut flowers and potted plants. There is a Starbucks near the front entrance. Elevators are available to the parking lot upstairs. There is ground level parking, which can be very crowded at times. Fast checkout with self-service machines. You can also check out through a regular line. I really enjoy shopping at this excellent Vons store, located on the corner of Sierra Madre Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard.
I feel very welcomed at this store. 🤗 Love that there is a starbucks, us bank, and extra parking upstairs (2nd floor). I feel that everyone minds their business, and most of the staff and security guard are nice especially in the morning around 10AM on Tue and Wed. I would recommend you bring your own grocery bags, as the bags they sell are paper. :) The produce is pretty good, nice flowers, and pretty good meat department! No complaints so far. Also, sign up with your phone number to get member deals to save some money! Thumbs up! :D 👍
