We had such a lovely experience here! The service was attentive and wonderful, and everything we tried- from the food and pastries to the coffee -was absolutely delicious. I do think the prices are a little on the higher side, but overall, the quality and experience made it worth it. I would definitely recommend stopping by, even if it’s just for their amazing coffee with a croissant or one of the pastries with labneh - both are absolutely worth trying! The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the gift section is also worth taking some time to browse. Even the restroom was lovely and very clean, which is always appreciated. You can also pay your bill simply by scanning a QR code, which is incredibly convenient. I’ve only had this kind of experience in Ukraine and Europe before, so it was a really nice touch. Definitely a place worth visiting!

We recently visited Café Ooh La La and absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and vibe were warm, welcoming, and just really enjoyable. You can tell this is a place that truly cares about quality and the overall experience. I tried the beet tartine, and wow — it completely knocked my socks off. I could immediately tell that the bread was homemade, fresh, and perfectly crafted. Every single bite tasted high quality, and you can tell there’s real time, care, and attention put into every detail of the food. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and everything was beautifully balanced. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the moment you taste the food, you immediately understand why. You’re paying for genuine quality, fresh ingredients, and craftsmanship that’s hard to find. The customer service was also top-notch. Wesley, one of the staff members, was especially friendly, welcoming, and attentive (also handsome) . The entire team made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu because this place seriously impressed me. Highly recommend Café Ooh La La if you’re looking for delicious French cuisine, quality ingredients, and a great atmosphere.

BEST. SERVICE. EVER!!! Seriously! Everyone from the hostess, who greeted us with the utmost hospitality and professionalism, the barista, who gave us a wonderful flavor profile explanation of our pour-over coffees, to our FANTASTIC server, who was an absolute delight, everyone was attentive and friendly. To add to that, the food was some of the best brunch items we've ever had! I had the Avocado Tartine, which was SO flavorful. Our server told us too that the flour they use in it is from Europe and causes less digestive issues than the standard flours we use in the states. How neat! My fiance had the Shakshuka, and he said it was perfectly spiced, delicious, and filling. He adds that the bread was out of this world too! We cannot wait to make a trip back with our friends to show them this gem of a restaurant in downtown Pasadena.

From the moment we walked in we felt cared for and loved. The hostess was friendly, happy to see us, and very welcoming. Instantly we felt warm and cozy in Oh La La. We were seated immediately for brunch, even on Easter. We ordered the Veggie Quiche and the Sunrise Parfait. We also split a Cinnamon roll. Next time I will be getting a chocolate chip croissant or the blueberry scone, both looked so good. We will be coming back here the next time we are in Pasadena.

The Cortado Hunter a month ago

I stopped by Oh La La in Pasadena for coffee and pastries, and I have to say I was genuinely impressed with their coffee program. We didn’t have any of the brunch dishes this visit—we specifically came for the coffee and pastries—but after this experience, we’ll definitely be coming back to try the food next time. The cortado was made with Boxx Coffee Roasters beans, and after chatting with the barista, I learned they also have a dedicated water filtration system specifically for their coffee. That level of attention to detail isn’t something you expect from every brunch café, and it definitely showed in the final cup. The cortado was well executed. The milk was smoothly integrated with the espresso, creating a balanced body that held together throughout the drink instead of separating after a few sips. It was served in the proper glass with clean presentation and solid latte art. The temperature was slightly hotter than my personal preference, which is understandable in a brunch setting, but overall it was a great cortado and far better than what many brunch cafés serve. The pain au chocolat was outstanding as well and a perfect pairing with the cortado. The service made the visit even better. Our server, Michael (aka Bev), was welcoming, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. I also had the chance to compliment the barista on the cortado. Although I didn’t get her name, she was very kind, took a few minutes to explain their coffee program, and shared that they use Boxx Coffee beans along with a dedicated water system to ensure the cleanest possible cup. It’s always nice to meet people who genuinely care about what they’re serving. Overall, Oh La La exceeded my expectations. It’s refreshing to find a brunch café that puts this much effort into its coffee program while also serving great pastries. I’ll definitely be back—next time for the food as well.
